About The Doctor Job Blog

The Doctor Job is the only source in the country that helps physicians find jobs where they want to be. From New York City to Los Angeles, Chicago to Miami, there are thousands of unadvertised physician jobs because the employers do not use recruiters and do not advertise in a public setting. By working with thousands of residents, fellows, and physicians to help them find jobs across the country, and from working with US citizens, H-1B and J-1 Visa holders and foreign medical graduates (FMGs) who need our assistance, we have developed excellent resources to help every physician find a good job. This blog will chronicle the daily workings of The Doctor Job, provide insight into finding a practice opportunity, and offer career counseling to any physician who needs it.

how do I post on the blog, i am a recruiter, and am very frustrated, i agree that recruiting is difficult, and that there are jobs in undesirable locations, but not everyone can or wants to be in Miami or Boston. I tell candidates that contingency recruiters usually have jobs that have trouble getting candidates for various reasons, but those groups or locations need doctors too! And I have placed many doctors with groups where both parties are very happy. I would like to join in anyway to make the recruiting experience honest and open. I have asked candidates to let me recruit for them in an unbiased way, but they usually dont want to pay for the service, not everyone has time or wants to blast their CV everywhere, especially doctors that dont want anyone to know they are looking. It is a small world. There is no free lunch, recruiting is more than email blasting your cv everywhere. A recruiter can and should be an advocate and I have been very involved in getting candidates higher income, benefits, bonuses etc. We are not all monsters! But I agree, it can get very cut throat. and I am looking for a better way!

Even though your header states “free resource for physicians” there is a charge somewhere. How much?
