I think this is fantastic advice for anyone to remember! My husband is currently finishing up residency interviews, so we spent a lot of time checking out interview tips online.

At my office (I'm not a doctor), my boss was calling someone to offer them an interview, and they had a "ringback" on their phone (where the caller hears your favorite song instead of a ringer while they're waiting for you to pick up). A ringback is fine for when your friends call, but unfortunately for the job applicant, my boss (who is over 50 and not up on new cellphone technology) didn't know what was going on when the song started playing. he thought it was a wrong number and hung up. So, not having a ringback if employers will be calling your cell phone is another important thing to consider.
