How does the process work?

  1. Fill out our sign up form, including the questionnaire that is provided. Provide as much detail as you can. Be honest. One-word answers are not appropriate for this questionnaire. The more detail and the more information you can provide, the higher the quality of your personal statement will be.
  2. One of our career counselors will contact you to discuss the materials you submitted. He or she will go over the process, answer any questions, and if you decide you want to proceed, will take payment from you for our services..

  3. All of your submitted documents, the questionnaires, and all additional information will be assigned to one of our writers. This writer will begin work immediately on creating the first drafts of a resume and a personal statement. While working on the first drafts, if the writer has any additional questions, he or she will email you directly. Otherwise, approximately one week from when you become a client, you will receive your first drafts by email.

  4. Once you get your first drafts, you will have one week to review the drafts and respond to your writer with changes and revisions.

  5. Within three business days, the writer will respond with a second draft for your review. Once you receive your second draft, you will have one week to submit any changes/edits of your own before the writer creates a final version of your personal statement and resume. The writer will provide you with the final versions by email so that you can submit them directly to ERAS!

  6. In the fall, when you start getting interviews, you can call to make a phone appointment with a career counselor. The counselor will provide 30-60 minutes of interview counseling over the phone. Appointments fill up quickly, so it's important to schedule your appointment 2 weeks in advance of your first interview.

  7. After this, you're all set, and all you have to do is wait for a successful Match!

Choosing a Specialty

As a result, the decision of which specialty to choose is very rarely an educated one. Finding a specialty that suits you is a process of identifying the lifestyle, intellectual challenge and research potential, among other factors, that agree with you.
